LAST UPDATED 4-December-2000

Here is a page of pumpkins carved by my daughter Jennifer.  This is her 4th year of carving pumpkins and she is doing a wonderful job!

In the table below, I show a thumbnail of each pumpkin image along with a description of the pumpkin.  To see a full sized image, click on the thumbnail.  Use your browsers BACK button to return to this index.

NOTE: File sizes range from 15KB - 40KB Lit pumpkin pictures are about half the size of Unlit pumpkin pictures.

Thumbnail Description
p9300005.jpg (31500 bytes) This is a picture of Jen wearing one of my Halloween costumes.  We took this picture just for fun.  After putting it up on the computer, we noticed something that we hadn't noticed when we took the picture.   If you look to the left of Jen, you will see two round shadows.  This was an effect of the flash on some dust in the air (I beleive).  But, if you look closely, just above the leftmost round shadow, you will see a shape that looks remarkably like an axe, flying through the air, at Jen.  To say the least this gave us the creeps.   See the next picture for an explaination.
pa020005.jpg (44707 bytes) We had gone out, right after seeing the above picture, but couldn't see anything that would cause that image to appear on the picture.   Going back there in the daylight, answered all of our questions.  As you can see, the "axe" that we saw was, in reality, a piece of cloth that was drapped over some branches, behind a fence that borders our back yard.  The "axe" handle was simply a fence post, in the foreground.  Talk about "erie"...
pa310002.jpg (13768 bytes) This is a pic of Jen dressed up for Halloween.   She is a photography student, and came up with the idea of dressing up as a "negative".  She came out fantastic!  Taking this image and making a negative of it, with a photo tool, will show how well this came out.
pa050019.jpg (18334 bytes) Staying with a music motif, Jen carved this Lynyrd Skynyrd logo (unlit)

pa050026.jpg (18261 bytes) Spiders
pa050027.jpg (17472 bytes) Spiders
pa150005.jpg (18001 bytes) Daisy Sprite.  This is a picture of a dandylion flower with a little fairy hanging on to one of the seeds as it blows away.
pb010004.jpg (19422 bytes) Closeup of a fairy sprite sitting on a leaf.
pb010016.jpg (21071 bytes) This one was hard to photograph.  This is a carving of the comic strip characters "Calvin and Hobbes", with the two main characters walking across a stream, on a log.
