Milt checks his line as Kathy relaxes during one of our many drifts for king salmon.  Note the position of Kathy's left hand.  At the beginning of our fishing Kathy would press her thumb on the spool of fishline, not realizing that if a king or a snag should catch her hook, there is no way she will be able to stop that spool.  One snag and a blistered thumb later, she keeps her fingers clear of that spool!
