Race Day!
Short photo essay of Race Day and the festivities before the races

The day of the race finally arrives.  Months of building and waiting for some.   For some, days and hours of building.  Hey, don't laugh.  I have seen boats designed and built the day before race day show up and take trophy's!  And I've seen boats with day, weeks and months worth of work, sink at the dock.

But, you know what? Everyone has fun.  Everyone.  From the staff to the crews to the spectators.  Take a moment to check out some of the boats entered in to the race this year (2000).  You will quickly see that a boat doesn't always have to look like a boat to run the course.
